The Heartland story

Built on a family legacy.

Founded in 2005 by John Schuler, Heartland Aggregates was built on hard work, quality products, dependable service, and doing business the right way. For nearly two decades, John grew the company while building lasting relationships with customers, employees, and the communities Heartland serves.

After John passed away in 2024, his daughter stepped into leadership with a commitment to carry his legacy forward while building a strong foundation for the company’s future. She assembled a new management and operations team, bringing new energy, expertise, and direction to Heartland.

Today, Heartland Aggregates is a women-owned and women-operated quarry. The operation has been modernized to improve efficiency, production, and reliability, with the capacity to produce more than one million tons of quality aggregate annually.

As Heartland continues to grow, the principles John established in 2005 remain at the heart of the business. Those principles are now carried forward by the next generation of his family.

Built by John. Carried forward by family.

Women-owned and operated. Driven by quality. Built for the future.
